Singapore Mathematics Olympiad Primary Schools

The Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (SMOPS) is organised by Hwa Chong Institution. The objective of this competition is to generate interest in Mathematics among pupils in primary schools. It is also an excellent opportunity for our pupils to identify and explore their talent in Mathematics. Our Primary 6 students have been taking part in this competition since it was held.

Participants who are ranked among the top 10%, or the top 200, whichever is lower, in the SMOPS, will be invited to compete with top mathematical talents from the Asia-pacific region in the Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for primary Schools (AMOPS). We hope to nurture mathematical talents in our girls through such competition.
