Educational Exchange Programmes to China

P5 students taking Chinese Language as their Mother Tongue may be given the opportunity to participate in the China Immersion Programme where they will be immersed in the rich history and culture of China through visits to a local primary school in China and famous tourist spots. Before their trip, students will receive training of useful skills such as digital photography, news reporting, and video-editing, depending on the nature of the project work. After the trip, students will apply the skills that they have mastered and develop their creativity in their Integrated Project Work.

2015 Education Exchange Programme to China

In May 2015, the school organised a 6-day China Educational Exchange Programme to Xiamen, Chaozhou and Yongding. The programme provided opportunities for students to be immersed in the rich culture and history of China, and to appreciate how different cultures have influenced the language. 30 Primary 5 students were selected from a selection interview conducted by the MTL HOD and teachers-in-charge of the programme. During the trip, various learning tasks were assigned to the students to enhance their learning. This programme also provided students with opportunities to apply the skills they have learnt from the “We are Bilingual” programme and the We are Campus Reporters” workshop. With the help of the teachers-in-charge, five short broadcasting videos were produced and shown to the school during pre-assembly time. Please click on the link below to view the videos:
